Ute Pass (29.3 K)
|
Right at your belt buckle, beside Sweetgrass, is Peck Mines, owned and built by Mike Peck. One of the club's original modules, Peck Mines resembles the Ute Pass area above Manitou Springs, west of Colorado Springs, Colorado on Highway 24, through which the Colorado Midland Railroad once operated. The actual mine giving the module its name is located at the right rear of the module, partially hidden by a rocky ridge. All of the buildings and bridges are built from scratch, demonstrating Mike's great skill and practical knowledge in designing real-like structures and building with wood. Look closely and marvel. Mike is frequently adding to this module.
