Note: This layout was disassembled when we lost our lease at the Jeannine Drive location in April 2001.
As you enter the layout room, the painting of steam locomotive No. 883 on the far wall in front of you immediately grabs your attention. This work was created in the club's earliest days by three club members: Margaret Afkhami, Mike Peck, and our first club Superintendent, Chris Mueller. All about you are historical posters, pictures, signs, heralds and other materials about railroads and the model railroad hobby. Take a few minutes to look and see.
Pikes Peak "N" Gineers Model Railroad Club has caps, T-shirts, club patches, and the club's souvenir collector cars for sale. The club is a non-profit hobby organization. Proceeds help the club cover exhibition expenses and benefit selected local charities. We sincerely appreciate any financial help that you care to give.
Your self-guided tour begins at the club's entrance and proceeds counter-clockwise around the U-shaped layout. If you have any questions, please ask any of the club members. We are here to share our knowledge and enjoyment of the hobby with you. And, we like doing it. We are proud of what we are building.
